NOPI Drift Round 3


Where & When:

Gateway International Raceway  ST LOUIS , MO/IL - June 9th & 10th


What Happened:


It was a long haul through the night out to St. Louis.  An expected 12 hour trip wound up taking nearly 18 hours.  With a car on the roll back, and James' 240sx in the race trailer, it was slow traveling over the mountainous terrain of Maryland and West Virginia.  Pulling up to Gateway International Raceway at 8:00am, we had an hour before the gates opened to get some needed rest.




 
Upon entering the event we were directed to our designated parking spot.  We set up our tents and unloaded the drift car.



James was out on the track most of saturday morning, adjusting to the course until he had it dialed in.  





                              Throughout practice James had mastered the course, successfully
                                linking the entire track run after run.  Unfortunately, he did not
                                                make it to the top 16 for the competition.
