Your vehicle’s exhaust system is made up of many parts. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Exhaust valves: these valves release combusted gas from your engine and allow them to enter your exhaust system.
  • Exhaust manifold
  • Catalytic converter: Converts some toxins to carbon dioxide (CO2) and water for cleaner emissions.
  • Exhaust pipes including front pipes, down pipes, mid pipes and tail pipes.
  • Muffler/resonator

Muffler repairs can range from $50 to at least $500 to fix a muffler. The most common muffler repairs include patching holes, tightening a loose connection, and re-welding a split seam or broken hanger.
