Titanium is a tricky metal that requires specialized equipment and skill to weld. The left picture below shows another shops attempt to weld mild steel to a titanium exhaust. Notice the self tapping sheet metal screws used to secure the two pipes after the weld repeatedly failed.
The picture to the right shows our weld after cutting both pipes to start with fresh titanium. It is easy to see how quality materials and craftsmanship can show in the finished product.
Below is a custom four inch intake pipe that we fabricated for one of our custom engine swaps. Several hours of Tig welding went into making this pipe fit exactly the way it should while maintaining a smooth radius throughout the extremely tight bend.
Aluminum is another material that takes an immense amount of skill to weld proficiently. The picture below shows a custom coolant expansion chamber we fabricated.
