The Nissan 240SX has been the go to choice for anyone looking to get into drifting for novices and pros alike. Because it offers a stout, RWD platform for drifting, road racing, and drag, the 240SX has immense potential for just about any performance modifications imaginable. However, while the Japanese version of the 240SX, the Silvia, came with an optional turbocharged 4 cyl. SR20DET, the US variant came with a much more anemic NA KA24DE.<\/p>\n

Swapping out the under-powered USDM KA24DE is one of the most popular options for adding power to the Nissan 240SX. While a SR20DET has traditionally been the go to choice for engine swaps in a 240SX, it is not the only choice.
