NOPI Drift Round 2


Where & When:

Dolphin Stadium, Miami Florida - April 14-15

What Happened:





It was a long haul down to Miami from Maryland. We left the shop around 6:00pm thursday afternoon. Pushing on through halucinations and a complete lack of sleep the sun began to rise friday morning. After twenty hours of driving we arived at Dolphin Stadium in southern Florida.

Friday evening after getting a good parking spot in the pits we headed for the closest hotel and tried to get some much needed sleep.









Early saturday morning we unloaded the JE Import RB26 powered Nissan 240sx for tech inspections. Once that was completed, James went out for a long day of practice. Towards nightfall all the the contestants got to practice some tandem drifting to get ready for sundays competition.











Sunday started with qualifying, in which James placed 11th. In the first round of the competition James defeated his opponent, but in the second round James' lack of traction caused him to spin out as the rain began to fall. In the end James had to settle with 6th place.
